About DETMP
Diethylene Triamine Penta Methylene Phosphonic (DETMP) Acid is a nitrogenous organic polyphosphonic acid widely used as a chelant with anti-corrosive characteristics.
DETMP shows excellent sequestration of metal ions and threshold inhibition of metal salt precipitation. The deflocculating ability of DETMP and dispersion of solid particles combined with its hydrolytic stability makes it a versatile ingredient for applications requiring efficient metal ion control.
This chemical accounts for better scale and corrosion inhibition properties compared to other phosphonates, at high alkali and high temperature.
This product finds use in the following applications:
