Tetrasodium EDTA

Tetrasodium EDTA acts as a chelating and sequestering agent of metal ions in aqueous solution. Once bound to these EDTA Compounds, these metal centers do not show the tendency to form precipitates or to interfere with the action of the soaps and detergents. The reduction of scales and water hardness depends heavily on the Tetrasodium EDTA to bind magnesium, calcium, as well as other metal ions. It also exhibits as a slime dispersant and is effective in controlling the bacterial growth.
