Rust Preventive Oil
Rust is formed when iron reacts with oxygen in presence of water molecule to form iron oxide. This iron oxide will slowly degrade the physical and chemical attributes of iron and lead to total mass damage. Iron is considered to be a heavy metal but the biggest disadvantage it possesses is that water may enter through microscopic holes and cracks and cause oxidation of the same leading to weakening of the metal. Rust preventive oil when applied to the external part of iron structure help prevention of water molecules penetration by forming a protective layer on the surface which inhibits the occurrence of rust and corrosion during handling and processing.
